- Want to wear a thick jumper underneath the jacket
- Are 172cm (5’8″) or above

- The 100% recycled polyester outer fabric is 100% water repellent and windproof
- 3-Layer-Laminate with watertight membrane: 1st layer 94% Polyester; Membrane 100% Polyurethane; 3rd layer 100% Polyester
- The breathable membrane ensures any moisture and excess heat evaporates and regulates the temperature inside the jacket
- This high-quality, watertight membrane keeps the material waterproof and windproof
- Mamalila Cosy Allweather Softshell Babywearing Jacket’s 100% polyester plush teddy-fleece lining is ultra soft against you and your baby’s skin
Babywearing Insert Panel
- Easily zip in the baby insert panel, so your coat will fit around your both when carrying your baby in a sling
- The panel features a hood for your baby, with clever poppers to keep it in place
- Hood size adjusts, so it will fit children from newborn to approx 2 years
- Adjustable neck to shelter the baby from wind and cold
- Fully zips up, so your baby with stay warm and dry and you don’t feel any drafts
- Can be used for tandem carrying two babies at the same time (one child on your front and another on your back), with the purchase of an additional baby insert panel
Care Instructions
- Machine wash your Mamalila Cosy Allweather Softshell Babywearing Jacket at 40 degrees. Do not use fabric softener
- To refresh the water repellency after washing, simply put the jacket in a tumble dryer at a medium temperature setting
- After several washes, Mamalila recommends using an FC-free product to refresh the waterproofing such as Nikwax TECH WASH followed by Nikwax TX DIRECT SPRAY-ON®

This is such a cosy and warm jacket! I was torn between getting the winter version and the softshell and so glad I went for this one…only an extra £30 but well worth it for the fleecy layer when the wind is cold. The whole jacket is really well made and the inserts are easy to put in – perfect for later in pregnancy as well as for carrying the baby in a sling. Plus I love that I’ll be able to wear it on it’s own too. So far it has been out in some pretty horrible windy and rainy weather and has stood up well to all of it. I’m a size 8 pre-pregnancy and went for the Small and it’s perfect. Definitely recommend this and thank you to Hannah for being so helpful throughout!

This coat is so cozy, I wasn’t sure whether to get this or the lighter one but I’m so glad I got the thicker one. It’s lightweight but really warm and cozy inside. The inserts give a nice amount of room around bump to not feel uncomfortable and the extra bit on the sleeves means they fit snug around your wrists so it keeps the warmth in. Definitely worth the money as it’ll see me to the end of the pregnancy, into carrying baby and then will be a lovely winter coat after. Plus, the wipe down/waterproof material is great for living on a farm as it’ll inevitably get dirty!

I absolutely adore this coat – I waited until my daughter was 18 months before investing, mainly because with back carrying her I was finding it tricky to find another solution to keep us both warm and dry but I am now so annoyed at myself for waiting so long! It is SO great for both front and back carrying and has so many clever little features. The hood on the babywearing panel is just perfect and I love the inner cuffs that make sure rain doesn’t get inside the sleeves. Seriously, just a perfect, cosy jacket that I’m also more than happy to wear without baby! My daughter and I both love it.

It covers baby really well in bad weather and gives me confidence that they have the correct layers for the temperature too.

I absolutely love this jacket! It is so warm and cosy – I am really glad I opted for the warmer version as I barely took it off last winter and it kept my newborn super snug. I have just started wearing it again now the weather is turning and my 11 month old loves to face out in it. I still need to try the back wearing option but it’s been perfect so far. Brilliant cosy jacket but not too heavy. I wear it more as normal coat and you can’t tell it’s for baby wearing, but when baby wearing it works well with the drawstring at the bottom and I like that you can roll the baby hood up. I purchased a medium and I am usually a size 12, which has plenty of room for a warm jumper but still fitted.
