Lenny Lamb’s marshmallow-soft hybrid carrier combines the ease of a carrier with the luxurious comfort of a wrap.
It’s ideal from around 2 months to 2.5 years (max weight 20kg) and for parents of all sizes, from petite to plus size.

LUXURY AND COMFORT WITHOUT A CRAZY PRICE TAG
The Lenny Lamb hybrid is made of marshmallow-soft woven wrap fabric that looks and feels seriously luxurious. It has a click-on waistband just like a regular carrier, which moulds beautifully around every body shape.
The waistband is cleverly contoured and lightly padded, with no stiffness or digging in, so almost everyone finds it spectacularly comfy and supportive.
Unlike conventional baby carriers that have buckled shoulder straps, the Hybrid has wide, tie-on shoulder straps that hug around your body.
It’s brilliant for parent-facing front carries (2months+) and back carries (6 months+). Hip carries are possible (4months+) but a tad fiddlier to achieve.
GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
The price of the plain colours are VERY reasonable compared to many other buckle carriers, starting at just £119, especially when you take into account how well-made this carrier is and the lush quality fabric.
But let’s be honest, most folks will opt for one of the stunning patterns (my favourite is Peacock’s Tail Provance) which are around £140-£150.
This is still a much better value option than well-known brands like Ergobaby and BabyBjorn, where you’re be paying £170-£210 for a comparable carrier. And vastly cheaper than the also-very-beautiful Artipoppe Zeitgeist that starts from close to £400 and goes up to several thousand pounds!
SUITS PARTNERS OF DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES
The Hybrid is a versatile front-and-back carrier that custom-fits adults from petite to plus size.
It’s an easy carrier to share between couples of different sizes, as only the waistband will need adjusting between wearers. No more arguments about changing the settings!
SAY GOODBYE TO TRICKY SHOULDER STRAPS
With conventional rucksack-style carriers, you may find gaps where the straps don’t contour to your shoulders, or straps that ride uncomfortably into your neck.. Or you might find it tricky to do up the little clip behind your back. The Hybrid solves all that!
The spreadable wrap-style shoulder straps spread over your shoulders just like a stretchy wrap and tighten to fit around you and your baby perfectly, every time.
There are no fiddly buckles to reach or do up and no hard plastic digging into your chest: perfect for curvy and plus-sized bodies.
A GREAT BACK CARRY FOR PETITE MUMS
As a petite, 5ft 2 mum, I get frustrated that most carriers will not fit me on their tightest measurement.
With the Lenny Lamb Hybrid there’s compromises on the fit as they are tightened to your exact size! The result is a high and supportive carry, and great views even for younger babies.
For petite folks, the tails will hang long when tied off at the waist. I prefer to wrap them over my chest and tuck them through the shoulder straps for an easy and pretty finish.
HANDY EXTRAS
There’s a generously sized pocket in the waistband for your phone, and a matching hood that poppers on and off.
THERE’S A BIG KID VERSION, TOO
Love the look of this hybrid but got a big toddler or preschooler? The Lenny Lamb Preschool Hybrid Half Buckle is near identical, but suitable from 18 months to a whopping 7 years+.
DOWNSIDES
This carrier isn’t for everyone. Some folks are put off by the length of the wrap tails and worry about them dangling onto wet or muddy ground while tying.
The Hybrid doesn’t offer a front-facing option; but remember this position isn’t necessary and most babies are happy just riding with their arms out instead, so they don’t feel restricted.
It needs a little patience to learn how to tie and hold the tension for a fully supportive carry. Many families will end up opting for the more conventional full buckle version, the Lenny Lamb Upgrade.
But for those who put comfort first, and those who covet woven wraps – this carrier could be the one!
