Material
- The breathable softshell fabric is 100% water repellent and windproof
- Super light fleece lining is ultra soft against you and your baby’s skin
- The breathable membrane ensures any moisture and excess heat evaporates and regulates the temperature inside the jacket
- 3-Layer-Laminate with watertight membrane: 1st layer 94% Polyester; Membrane 100% Polyurethane; 3rd layer 100% Polyester

Babywearing Insert Panel
- Easily zip in the baby insert panel, then your coat will fit around your both when carrying your baby in a sling
- The panel features a hood for your baby, with clever poppers to keep it in place
- Hood size adjusts, so it will fit children from newborn to approx 2 years
- Adjustable neck protection to shelter the baby from wind and cold

Care Instructions
- Machine wash your Mamalila Softshell Allrounder Jacket at 40 degrees. Do not use fabric softener
- To refresh the water repellency after washing, simply put the jacket in a tumble dryer at a medium temperature setting
- After several washes, Mamalila recommends using an FC-free product to refresh the waterproofing such as Nikwax TECH WASH followed by Nikwax TX DIRECT SPRAY-ON®

I’ve recently purchased this jacket to use with my ergobaby 360 baby carrier, as I was finding going out with a 3 year old and a baby in a pram to be anything from a little bit stressful to nigh on impossible. Being hands free means that i can keep my older son safe in holding his hand, without having to ‘pull over’ and brake a pram, which my baby daughter wasn’t enjoying anyway ,as she likes to be close to me and dislikes lying flat, due to minor reflux. The problem was that I needed something for daily use ie nursery runs as I don’t drive, but the weather is impossible to predict. I was using the newborn insert for my daughters comfort but as shes bigger than average and long in the back, her face was peeking over the wind protection built into the sling, causing skin chapping on her face. I also got caught in the rain a couple of times and had to hide under a tree. I wanted something that would cover her completely, without restricting her movements or mine.
This coat was perfect, as it is warm but not sweltering, still cosy for her and protects from rain and wind. With the insert it looks neat and tidy , not at all baggy. The sizing is probably more on the generous side but not excessively so order pre pregnancy size as the panel is generous enough to cover any differences in the meantime. After the carrying phase is over ,the middle insert for the sling can be removed by unzipping both sides and the jacket is then transformed into a good quality soft shell, which should last, even with heavy use and minimal care. The middle panel can be switched to the back of the jacket should you choose to baby wear on your back as baby gets bigger and heavier. There is a lady modelling this jacket on you tube. The current design is identical to the one being modelled. I absolutely love it and think the design is very well thought out. Def worth the money paid if you often use a sling and like to be out and about.

The coat is cleverly designed and practical for babywearing, but also looks really nice as a normal coat – I think I’ll definitely get my money’s worth! Decided to invest in a proper maternity and baby wearing coat, after struggling to get my regular coat to zip up from quite early on. (Second babies really do pop out quicker!)
I considered a few options first, like just managing with a bigger sized regular coat, wearing my normal coat with a big scarf etc, but then the weather turned really miserable and I thought “why am I struggling and getting wet?”
It’s more than I would normally spend on a coat, but SO worth it!
I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I wish I’d had this coat 7yrs ago, with my first!
I was a size 14 pre pregnancy, but ordered an xl (as my boobs are rather big!) and at the moment, I can actually zip up without the extra panel, as the coat is quite stretchy and forgiving!
I do have some growing still to do though, and as it gets colder, that extra panel will allow me to comfortably stick a jumper on underneath, without worrying about straining the zip!
I can’t wait to try out the baby wearing panel, when little man arrives in March!
The coat is very well made and it will be used for a good few years, even after I stop carrying him, as it is so versatile.

I absolutely love this jacket! It fits super well, really great quality and was the only definitely waterproof jacket I found available out there suitable for pregnancy and beyond. I got it in teal and the colour is really lovely. It’s cosy and there is also enough space to wear a thicker jumper on underneath for the colder weather. The jacket already seems to come with the extra insert for when baby comes along so you don’t need to purchase that. But now I guess I have an extra. I haven’t tried with baby yet but I have a feeling I’m going to get a lot of use of it so I’d say definitely worth the money!

This jacket is toasty warm, really easy to use both with and without panels, waterproof and looks fabulous to boot. I’ve had a number of compliments on it too! It’s well made and covers my baby nicely, with the added bonus of a roll away hood for baby for wetter days.

Absolutely love my Mamalila jacket, I wear it over my Beco Gemini Cool carrier with my almost 1 year old and also as a lovely fitted coat when I’m not babywearing. It is so well thought out, long enough to cover babies feet and my bottom so we dont get wet legs when it rains, a hood which is actually big enough to cover your head and it is so comfy and beautifully fitted it can be worn in most weathers and with or without baby! Only thing I can possibly say is the baby hood could perhaps be slightly bigger, its perfect for if they’re asleep but if awake and wiggly like mine they could potentially get a little wet head if it rained, that said we are a family of big heads! Love it so much we are debating getting my husband one too and even family members who don’t babywear have considered buying one as a regular coat! Went for my normal size and I love how fitted it is but if you frequently wear chunky jumpers perhaps size up. I find my baby warms me up so much though I dont need a jumper and the coat is beautifully fleece lined so you don’t get that sticky feeling you get from some coats when you wear short sleeves!

So far so good. This coat has proved to be incredible useful. As we head into winter I will need to see if it keeps baby and I as toastie as promised. It has delivered on all other accounts, so I suspect it will deliver in this area too.
I also were it with my Beco Gemini Cool carrier and find that it fits over easily.
The only thing on my wish list for this jacket was if there was a cunning way to unzip and re-attach the baby hood so that I can protect her from rain/drizzle when she is forward facing in the sling

These coats are absolutely top quality. So many very well thought out design features. I smile every time I see the shape of the sleeves. The adjusters to adapt to baby and mummy body shapes are great and the poppers to secure the baby hood to mums coat for sleep stability is clever.
It’s just perfect. I’ve got the raspberry one which is a beautiful shade.
My small (now nearly one) has been very comfortably covered when in the front sling from the day dot. She loves her hood. Can’t wait to try the back carry.
I also wear it out without any baby (rare moments ha!) and get just as many compliments as when I’ve got baby on board. I’m always raving about it to whoever says “what a clever coat” – they get a guided tour of it!!!
Didn’t get to use the bump panel but it would have fit perfectly if I had. Only suggestion would be to maybe have this as an optional extra so as to not create any waste for those whose pregnancy days are done.

A friend of mine had this coat and I had serious envy- she tended to wear hers just as a waterproof, and it always looked so smart, despite wearing it daily. Last year we were spending the Christmas in Northern Sweden so I decided that it was time to invest. I like to do a lot of research when buying new, and this coat came being suggested. I found Wear My Baby online and they had a really decent price. What’s more, I was dithering about sizing as I was on the cusp of the measurements so I called them. The staff were instantly friendly, knowledgable and really helpful in helping me make a decision.
The coat itself is fantastic, I’ve had it nearly a year and it still looks brand new, which considering I have small children is impressive. The design and construction is very well thought out and the finish is definitely worth the money. It is a well made item! The baby wearing panel works so well, we have used it in an absolute downpour and the baby was snug in the sling, under it all. I really like the elasticated wrist material, as it helps keep out the wind, plus the design around the neck is great. The fact that you can back carry as well is so useful, esp for longer walks. One thing that tends to bug me is the shape of waterproof hoods, but this one has ample space and don’t feel like you can’t move your head.
There’s a reason people rave about this coat, it’s because it really is worth every penny. I can see myself using this for years to come!

I like that I’ll be able to back carry too once he is a bit bigger! Only negative is I’ve found the elastic cuffs to be quite tight so although easy to put on, slightly harder to take off in a rush whilst soothing a wriggling baby. This coat is literally amazing, I’m so pleased I bought it and have had many comments on how useful it looks. Used during pregnancy, front carrying and as a normal coat – can’t wait to try it with back carrying. I’m glad I bought the soft shell, it’s more versatile across the seasons than a thicker one.. you just have to add layers underneath on the coldest days. Good features like cosy cuffs, draw string around bottom, and really good hood with a little peak.

Great coat for getting out and about in all weather with the little one in the baby carrier. The coat is good quality and arrived quickly. I have found it particularly useful when moving between inside and out as you can regulate your baby’s temperature easily without having to remove any layers from them so they can remain happily sleeping. On very cold days I worry she might get cold feet so I plan to buy some of the Mamalila booties to keep her feet and legs warm as well. Overall, I love the coat and plan to buy the men’s version for my partner too. Hannah was very helpful with sizing advice. I am size 12 and 5ft6 and bought the medium which fits well, even with winter layers underneath.

I bought this coat as I’ve got a new baby and I’m doing the nursery run for my eldest on foot – I wish I’d skipped buying the pram bassinet and just bought the coat to be honest! It keeps the baby warm and dry and he’s much happier in the sling than the pram. As he’s still tiny I find it works best not to button the neck up and just sort of shield him with the collar and hood. I have also used it to back carry my nearly four year old and it works very well. I think I will get loads of use out of it and it works well as just a normal coat too. I walk the dog both in the countryside (wind & rain won’t stop me!) and also in and around the city, so needed something that was waterproof, would work in all seasons and most importantly would be comfy for my baby.
I have certainly found it in this coat!
The navy blue looks smart when the insert is taken out and with the baby wearing insert, I feel confident that my baby is protected from the elements and can enjoy getting out and about for fresh air.

This coat is absolutely gorgeous (and flattering!) – and quite honestly doesn’t look like a babywearing coat at all. It is really light (and yet warm) and looks quite formal/nice as well if you pair it with boots and a dress day to day. It became my go to coat even when I need to go to the office or going out for a meal at night (I got the black version and honestly it looks that good). The panel is also quite small and mega easy to put in and remove so you can just style it how you want. Oh yeah – it is also amazing for babywearing! I babywear my (almost) 2yo back and front and it’s so easy to put on and keep us both warm and cosy. I also use this coat whilst walking my mud-loving Golden Retriever – and yes you can easily just wipe the mud! Love it! (As mentioned here – if you’re in doubt do size up!)

I bought this coat when I was pregnant, and the bump insert worked really well. My daughter is now 5 months old and I’ve used the coat with baby cover insert so many times! It’s fantastic and completely waterproof. The baby hood is a brilliant addition and although I am yet to try the back carrying positin – I’m sure it will be great as well. My only wish is that I had sized up so I could get jumpers on underneath for extra warmth.

Great quality coat, perfect snuggling baby up inside on a windy or wet day. I use fabric wraps and it fits over nicely. Only regret is not sizing up as in winter it needs another layer underneath, but it’s perfect on its own in autumn and spring.

I was gifted this coat for Christmas and have worn it nearly every day since! Baby loves being carried and its allowed for daily dog walks come rain or shine. The coat is comfortable and practical, with well thought out features for both mine and the babies comfort.
We’ve been front carrying with it till now but are moving onto back carrying that is working just as well. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely comfy and snug jacket which is so versatile. Really love the mustard colour – very cheerful! Baby-wearing panel is easy to attach and remove as needed. So far I’ve only used it on the front as baby is too small for back-carrying but I expect to get many years of good wear out of this coat.

Very happy so far with this jacket. Currently pregnant and spending some time in the Shetlands and has been warm enough for some of the cold and windy days here. I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and not using the pregnancy insert yet so may have sized up too much but then I prefer to make sure there is room for a jumper underneath if needed.
