LENNY LAMB UPGRADE FITS EVERY PARENT

The Lenny Lamb Upgrade is one of the comfiest carriers around. It really does fit every parent. Most carriers claim to fit everyone, but in reality, petite parents will often find the likes of BabyBjorn and Ergobaby too bulky; and plus size parents can find some carriers dig in uncomfortably in all the wrong places.

I’ve fitted the Lenny Lamb Upgrade carrier to many hundreds of families, and it’s universally loved by parents of all shapes and sizes. It supports heavy babies without stiff padding, and all straps are highly adjustable so it can mould around every body shape.

Mum is a curvy 5’2″ and Dad is 6’4″? No worries, just get this one to share!

IDEAL FOR BABIES FROM 1 MONTH TO 2.5 YEARS

The Upgrade is suitable for babies from a minimum weight of 3.5kg up to toddlers with a maximum weight of 20kg. So in theory, the Upgrade can be used from birth.

But it can still feel a little cumbersome with some really tiny newborns; in reality, the size of the adjustable body panel means you’ll get a fabulous fit from 1 month to about 2.5 years (or 2 years for taller toddlers).

You simply adjust the seat to the narrowest width to fit your newborn, using the hidden Velcro inside the waistband; and adjust the height using the concealed pull-strap with buttons on either side of the body panel.

So as your baby grows, you can make the carrier wider and taller every few months to give extra support for your ever-growing little one! Padded leg openings help prevent the fabric from digging into your baby’s legs.

The LennyUpGrade carrier has been acknowledged as a “hip-healthy” product by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.

STRUCTURED, BUT STILL SOFT

Many families want a supportive carrier, but without hard bits digging in or stiff waistbands that stop them from sitting comfortably. The Lenny Lamb Upgrade offers a great happy medium. The waistband is supportive but contoured and malleable, with a removable lumbar support pad.

The shoulder straps are padded, but narrow enough that you don’t feel like you’re wearing bulky shoulder pads.  Even the buckles have padding o the back so there’s no chance they can dig into your breasts – so ideal for larger chested mums.

EASY TO PUT ON

When carrying baby on your front, you can cross the straps over your back (in an ‘X’ position), so there’s no fiddling around to do up a clip behind your back. You also have the option to wear the straps rucksack style (in an ‘H’ position), fitting the two straps as loops over your shoulders, if you prefer.

A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO THE ARTIPOPPE BABY CARRIER!

If you’re tempted by Artipoppe carriers but not by the sky-high price tags, you have to check out the Lenny Lamb Upgrade: stunning designs and luxe quality at a fraction of the cost.

The family-run Polish brand Lenny Lamb is committed to high-quality products and materials. And they mean it. The Upgrade is made from exquisite, luxurious woven wrap fabrics, woven in-house.

You’ve got a huge range of designs and colours to choose from, from classic greys and vibrant jewelled colours, all the way to rainbows and dinosaurs…. and rainbow dinosaurs! There is a reason people end up buying more that one.

3 CARRYING POSITIONS

The Upgrade offers all the usual carrying positions: front carrying, back carrying and – though it’s a bit of a compromise and a bit of a faff – a hip carry.

It’s not to be used for front-facing outwards, but most babies (from 4-5 months+ only) are happy to have their arms out instead, as a great alternative to facing-out for wiggly babies.  That’s is easy to do in this carrier, because you can adjust the height of the body panel.

BRILLIANT CARRIER FOR BACK CARRYING

Like the very similar Manduca XT, the Upgrade features some clever little adjusters on the front of the shoulder straps. If you tighten these before putting your child on your back (from around 6 months+), they will sit high and snug on your back, giving them a more elevated position and view.

Much more entertaining than hanging low on your back and only seeing your shoulder blades. And comfier for you.

HANDY BUILT-IN EXTRAS

It features a helpful, removable sleep hood, which attaches with poppers. Once adjusted to fit your body, the leftover lengths of straps and webbing can be neatly rolled up and secured with the small elastic loops on the ends of them. So you’re left with a neat and streamlined carrier.

But my favourite feature is the generous storage pocket with the waistband, with magnetic closure – perfect for your keys and phone.

THE DOWNSIDES OF THE LENNY LAMB UPGRADE

To be honest, it’s difficult to find a downside to this truly fantastic carrier.  It’s not going to be ideal for anyone who wants to carry their baby facing outwards; but remember this position isn’t necessary and most babies are happy just riding with their arms out instead, so they don’t feel restricted. It really is a winning carrier.
