PERFECT FROM DAY ONE
A stretchy wrap is a true newborn option, loved for its cosy, womb-like qualities.
Many baby carriers state that they are suitable for newborns, but none are as soft, comfy and gentle as a wrap – which has no straps or buckles that could dig in.
The Coracor will fit most babies from day one (tested from 6lb). It’s tested as safe to use up to 12kg (26lbs) but by 4 – 6 months, most families will move on to a non-stretchy baby carrier for everyday use and longer trips out.
WEAR IT ALL DAY AND POP YOUR BABY IN AND OUT
Like all stretchy wraps, the Coracor is a long piece of fabric that you wrap around yourself and pre-tie, before putting your baby in.
The stretch allows you to move the fabric around your baby so they can be popped in and out all day, without needing to undo or re-tie the wrap.
I know that at first glance tying a wrap can look a bit like folding origami on a human, but I promise it gets super quick and easy after a few goes!
EXCEPTIONALLY COMFORTABLE
The Coracor distributes your baby’s weight across your shoulders, back, and upper body. Once the fabric is spread evenly, the whole thing should feel like a cosy and supportive hug for you and your baby.
It needs to be worn tightly, with your baby held snug and high up on your chest.
Check the TICKS safety advice and watch our tutorial video to ensure you get the tension just right.
CORACOR VS FREERIDER
There are two types of stretchy wraps.
1-way-stretchies, which stretch in one direction, like the pretty Freerider wrap.
And 2-way-stretchies, which stretch width and lengthways, like the Coracor
Not sure which style is best for you?
1-way-stretchies have a firmer hold. This is a good option if you have a heavy baby who will require more support over time. The compromise is that it needs a bit more practice and precise tightening to ensure your baby is held snugly enough.
If you are looking for a simple-to-learn tying option, a 2-way-stretchy like the Coracor will be much easier to get to grips with.
I think Coracor have got the balance just right.
The amount of stretch is forgiving enough to help sleep-deprived parents get their baby in and out with minimal fuss. But the fabric overall is firm and less bouncy than other two way-stretchies.
LOVED BY MUMS AND DADS
Let’s face it, we’re here for the cool and pretty patterns!
There’s something for everyone with the Scandi range of warm pastel tones, muted animal prints, and geometric designs – all designed in Sweden.
CLEVER EXTRAS
One side of the wrap is patterned, and the other side is plain. This makes it easy when you are learning to tie, as you can see if anything is twisted.
The wrap packs away neatly in a cleverly integrated pocket for easy storage.
DOWNSIDES
This wrap is more expensive than some other stretchies on the market, but it’s worth remembering that Coracor is a top-quality wrap with lovely patterns made from sustainable cotton.
Plus you’ll be getting a LOT of wear out of it during your baby’s first months – so it’s absolutely worth it.
