  1. Dani

I bought this coat last winter but forgot to review, It was the best buy of the winter! It kept us both so nice and warm! The hood was amazing as it actually covered my whole head! I wore it on many days/nights without a baby in too and it looked lovely as a regular coat. As my daughter was a little older I also got to use the back carrying which was nice and easy to do. I cannot wait to use this coat again this year with two babies in it!

For budget reasons, we were looking for something we could both wear with our baby and this coat fits the bill. I bought a slightly larger size for me and pulled it in at the waist, that way it also fits my partner who wears it out at the waist more in the style of a male coat.
It’s very cosy and water resistant.
We are yet to test it all through winter but so far so good!

  3. Abby (verified owner)

Brilliant coat, warm, waterproof and very comfortable. Plenty of room for baby at the front, I haven’t tried the back function yet. Looks good as a normal coat too and quality seems good so it should last beyond baby carrying!

  4. Sophie Smith (verified owner)

I wish I had this coat for my first baby! It’s brilliant! It keeps my newborn snug on cold wet and windy walks and it’s also a lovely coat without the baby wearing function! Worth every penny!

      Thanks Sophie 🙂

The wombat coat arrived quickly and is such great quality. My baby loves it and is so comfy and cosy.

  6. Amita (verified owner)

Brilliant coat – warm, waterproof and stylish even when not baby carrying! Keeps my baby girl super snuggly, perfect for our autumn walks.

Following some amazing, helpful guidance from Hannah via Instagram, I bought this Wombat coat and have loved it! Last winter my baby was very little and I didn’t get a babywearing coat in favour of a cover that went over my Ergobaby Omni 360 Cool Air Mesh…I wish now that I’d made the investment and bought a babywearing coat back then! It is very snug, beautifully made, and practical. I’m now wearing my baby mostly on my back (she’s over 1) and this coat is keeping us warm and dry during a wet Devon winter.

Thank you Sophie, so glad you’re enjoying it 🙂

After speaking with Hannah via Instagram, she was able to explain the different babywearing coats available and she also helped me get the right size. She suggested an XL as I’m a Uk 14. For context, I’m 5 ft 11 and usually shop the tall range from high street brands. I was worried about the sleeve length being too short for me but it’s perfect! The coat sits just at the end of my bum. I’m glad I went for the wallaby – it’s quite stylish (I have the black and grey) and I can see myself using it even after babywearing days are over. I do like the neck snood, keeps you very warm. It’s also very practical as it’s one panel for both maternity and babywearing. I got an extra panel so I can tandem carry my toddler and newborn when she arrives. Thanks Hannah!

      My absolute pleasure, Lola!
