The Kowari Babywearing Jacket from Wombat and Co. London is the cleverest and most stylish babywearing and pregnancy coat we’ve ever seen.
It’s 2 coats in 1, making it ideal for all seasons.
There is a light, water-repellent outer raincoat and a light quilted jacket. You can wear them on their own, or cleverly attached together– turning the two jackets into the perfect winter coat. Be comfortable, warm and dry, whether wearing with or without your baby! The neat, adjustable babywearing insert quickly attaches to keep your baby snug and warm in their sling or carrier, whatever the weather.
If you want a babywearing coat that looks stylish and flattering, which will last you through your babywearing days and beyond, this is the coat for you.

I bought this as a huge treat for myself ahead of the birth of child number 2. I didn’t actually wear it as a maternity coat but I’ve been wearing it for the last month as the baby is getting carried everywhere.
The coat is amazing – so much more comfortable than squeezing into a larger sized normal coat – I love how the babywearing panels have toggles to adjust to give a better fit. I love the longer length for keeping warm standing around at the park.
It’s brilliant having the 2 layers as it means the coat is usable in all circumstances!
The only downside is what to do with the panels when you are not carrying as they are a little bulky to stuff in pocket.
But in summary if you are planning on carrying for a while it’s worth the investment because I think I’ll be wearing it 9 months of the year for the next few years!

Really lovely coat. The fleece lining is great quality and it’s easy to use. Feel much more at ease going out in the cold with my baby as I don’t have to worry about layers! The coat did come up bigger in my usual size so I did exchange for a size down. This was a really easy process and Hannah was extremely helpful.

Really pleased with this jacket so far. Currently 4 months, due in late October. Both layers look good and fit well now without the insert panels. This should be great with bump, with baby, and as a regular jacket, in several types of weather. Nice big detachable hoods. I usually wear a UK 16 and ordered a XXL which fits well with enough room for a sweater underneath.

Thanks Lauren!

Got this coat as a Christmas present but wish I had got it sooner! It’s so cleverly designed, very warm and so good not worrying about layers for 11 month old. It is expensive but it actually looks really nice as a “normal” coat as well so will hopefully have lots of wear!
